Kombucha
Brewing kombucha at home is the fastest way to trade $5 store-bought bottles for a pennies-per-glass, perfectly customized drink. All it takes is tea, sugar, water, a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast), and about two weeks. Once you're set up, you can keep a continuous brew going indefinitely and flavor every bottle to taste.
