The Low Angle Adapter is a vise extension designed to help you achieve lower sharpening angles on your knives. This adapter is particularly useful for sharpening Japanese cutlery and blades with low angles. The included 3/32" and 1/8" Allen Wrenches work to attach and operate the adapter. This attachment is compatible with all current Wicked Edge models, and all older models with the exception of the Pre-2017 Commercial Series Sharpener. 

We highly recommend using a Digital Angle Gauge because the low angle adapter significantly changes the clamping height, which will make the angle markings on the sharpener inaccurate. Longer guide rods are also helpful because the clamping height is higher. 

If you choose the option of the Digital Angle guage add on, know that the digital angle gauge is perfect for achieving exact angles while sharpening. It's also great for calibrating angles on saw blades and many other tools. This angle gauge has a magnet on the bottom that allows the user to mount the gauge directly to our diamond stones.
